OBC is a multi-generational church with a large number of families and young people. We have fabulous young people's groups both throughout the week and during our Sunday services.

“Multum in Parvo”
Our County, Rutland is the smallest in the UK and has a motto ‘multum in parvo, meaning much in little’. We love our small town and our little county, and are committed to engaging with our community and helping it to flourish.
Isaiah 60 is a Bible passage that resonates strongly with us. It speaks of God declaring His glory and gathering people to the ‘small place’ – For us, we really believe this speaks about the way God is gathering people in Rutland. We are excited as we see both our church and town growing.

We want OBC to be a place of sanctuary and refuge within the county. As such we host a number of community support groups, from adoptive parent groups to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. We are a Baptist Church affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the East Midlands Baptist Association. We also link in with Freshstreams and the Evangelical Alliance.
